Rodrunners 32er rod build on Rover P2 chassis

I would like to report about the construction of my own rod. Because my English is not perfect, please write English as simple as possible, if you have tips for me!
As I have written in my first thread, I'd like to build a 32er rod on a 1947 Rover P2 chassis.



Me and the first part of my projekt. A new 1932 ford Steel Grill Shell and Insert. I'm glad it was delivered to germany without any damages.

Hi Dave, yes now it's finally going. Unfortunately, I get the chassis until April. Until then, I'll buy even the first parts.
Not only arround Stuttgart, the snow falls quite a lot. All of Germany is currently under a blanket of snow. Good time to order parts and search informations in this great forum.

Looks like a great start Stephan, and now you found a parts outlet your on a good track. Keep us up on your build. I am happy to see you building a street rod in Germany, is there alot of them over there?

Hello brickman, we have a rod scene, but the most of them don't share informations about the constructions and dealers in the internet. Our GSRA (german street rod assotiation) don't have a forum (or I can't find it). You have to spend a lot off time to find the right contacts, if you be new in this scene. Sites like motortalk.de are very big online comunitys and you have many persons in there, so you become for one question 2000 opinions.

By chance yesterday I found a hotrod community in my city. with about 30 members.
On the 1st May is a meeting of this community, I will show you some pictures from this meeting.

Now I really seem finally on the right track. I will keep you up with pictures and my questions about parts.

Sounds good Stephen! Always fun to see what Rodders in other parts of the world have to contend with in the course of a build!!! Sure does make me appreciate how easy it is to find parts and such around here!!!

hi @ll,
the guy who work on my chassis have made me yesterday a very special offer.He offered me a 1928 Renault Monasix steel Body for 1.500 Euro wich he has found in south france. This are peanuts in compare to a plastic body in germany.
The body have no rust holes.
He could build a delivary or a sedan for me. A big smile came on my face when I saw the pictures. Today I have give him my ok. I asked him for more detail pictures of this beauty!

Hi Stephan,

I'm going along a similar route. I've got a Rover P2 1938 chassis and running gear I'm refurbishing ready for a Rod body. I'm still looking for the body.
The sketch looks great, look forward to seeing it develop.

I've got a 1938 P2 chassis I'm working on. Early stages at the moment but I'm looking to Rod It in a similar way. I haven't got the body yet, just looking for the right one. The plans look great, are you keeping the axle centre's stock? Keep us informed on the progress.
