My x-brother-in-law and I built a 1951 MG TD.He got it out of Texas with a SBC 283 and a three speed stick and sprung rear end.
We did a frame up build.Swapped out the 283 for a cam'ed 327 with a Man-A-Fre induction system,four speed rock crusher and a vett IRS.15 coats of black hand sanded paint and Naugahyde interior.It's still around living in Florida.The only picture I have is this one:

What bring about this thread was Roger saying how he liked the MG TD's in another thread.Paul and I hadn't before this ever showed a car at a car show before this.The car took first place at the Clutch Artist Car show in Buffalo,NY.I has the look of a old Ford roaster yet is light wt.With the SBC and the rest of the driveline it was way,way,fun to drive where you could get yourself into trouble without much effort.LOL.Drove like it was on rails.

That little sucker is cool!
That car was a learning curve for sure.It was stripped to bare metal.Every imperfection from the factory showed up in the black paint as a orange peal.It was stripped back to bare metal a number of times to correct that so it turned out like glass.Ton of work when into that.

Yep.It was pretty stout.This car was built in the late 1960's.The whole wiring harness was hand built bu my ex-brother-in-law.He was a electrician so any bents that where in it had to be perfect 90 degree bents.I don't to this day understand how he did it,but he heated the wire so they all stayed at 90 degrees without melting the wire.It was a detail if see just looked outstanding.And no problems with it working.
