Very nice!! Is the gas cap cast aluminum? Any thoughts to a polished version?
I'm always amazed at the talent that pops up on this site!

I agree, VERY NICE! Pleasing and interesting to the eye. Sort of "old timey" but with a new twist. Cool

okay, Steve, you are approximately 1 month too darn late with this post, thank you very much. I was after a hand brake lever like that sort of thing to replace the HQ Holden one I had in the T but after looking for a old style one I decided to modify the one I had to fit in a better position. So what sort of figure do you have on both the hand brake and the matching shifter. What is the shifter base,I use a B&M shifter similar to the Lokyer and Gennie . Yes I can't spell for Sh#t eh!!:HMMM:

Yes Aluminium, Havn't done a polished one yet as it would add to the cost a fair bit.

In England the handbrake is £220 Whip, not sure what that equates to in your money mate.

Only about $440.00 with the exchange rate at the moment Steve and then shipping on top. Very nice though and I would of had the matching pair as those prices are not bad when compared with stuff out of America I think.

....or in American, ~$350.
Very nice, Steve. Too bad I have Lokar already!!!

I especially like the "mechanicalness" of that brake lever. Nice work Steve-o..............................but I wouldn't expect less from you.

Beautiful equipment. I wish I needed some of it.
The way you drill the webs in your shifter arms and levers (graduated hole sizes) .... now, that's classy!
Back before NHRA brought about serious and detailed safety requirements and knowledgeable inspectors to enforce those requirements (I'm talking early to mid-fifties here) I think there was probably a boom in the sales of hole saws and drill bits. Lightening holes became sort of a rage. In the interest of weight reduction, every component that had an area large enough to permit having holes in them, had 'em.
This was particularly true in the earlier "gas class" competition cars. I remember that one competitor with a sense of humor had holes drilled in his ignition switch key.
Please forgive the wordiness, Steve. Your products look great. They present themselves very well and their quality is obvious.
Good luck,
Jim

Nice stuff! I have a feeling we'll being seeing it in the new rods that start showing up at the shows around here. Will keep an eye out for it at NATS or the GOODGUYs events!

That's niiiice. I particularly like the less polished look of it.

Dave that $350 American exchanged to NZ $'s would make the American item dearer.

Not really...with the US$ currently around NZ$ .80c it still equates to around NZ$440.
And the English Pound around NZ$ .51c...
But that's irrelevant...I'm not in the market for one either, like you I would have been a month or so ago for the bus, but we've now resurrected the original park brake and swapped it to the right hand side...and I'm not about to change it again!
But they are gorgeous!
