Should be a ball to hot rod that one joker, looks to be in very nice condition. Have fun and keep us updated.
Joker She looks in pretty good shape. Love that grill!
Yeah she is pretty solid, only real rust beside surface rust is below the door on the sill there. And one of the previous owners looked like he was rebuilding the engine as there are all the parts to rebuild it in the car minus the block.
And I will keep posting pics as I go along.
Looks like a solid project, whats the plan for it?
Nice find!!!!!
I LOVE the tails on that car, they are so unique.
Abe
Look forward to seeing it evolve as you make progress. The chromework looks in decent shape, you going to remove it, or use it?
Oooooh ,aint that sweet, I can see this chopped and channelled
with slicks on the rear end, say 15inch and little six inch wires
on the front just to harmonise ,please excuse the dribbles , I caint get the paper towels off the roll fast enough, definitely keep us posted on this one
Chrome will be used, I think think car will look to plain without it.
And thanks for all the compliments on this car, I think I will go stock body on this for now and than after a few years think about chopping it
Well here is a trial paintjob (in photoshop) just trying to see what it will look like with a coat of paint on it.

Joker--A gem there. Congrats-- will look forward to see progress pics!
Nice Joker, looks like a good solid starter car, I love the "Plum Crazy" too! Here is a coming home pic of my '48 and my paintshop view.
and here is my rendition of her future. I would love to see these two sitting together all finished at a cruise-in!
Just in case you wanted it yellow.

Looks Good!
What engine are you thinking for her?
For now I want to put a slant 6 back in her, until I can build the right combination of engine tranny and rearend. I want to end up with a small block hemi maybe or a 318 or 360 not too sure right now. But for now I like the idea of the 3 in a tree shifting it currently has.
Sounds like a great plan, there is alot of engines to choose from, there is no hurry. being sure of what you want for the car is essential to not waste alot of money IMHO. You can always put other things in as you go, winter work on the car is half the fun!:D
THat it is brickman, I want to get the body work done before winter as I don't have a garage built yet. Thats maybe next summers project. But for now body work, rebuild the tranny, rearend and find a slant 6 for now. Then sell the parts for a slant 6 that are sitting in the car right now for some spare cash. (all parts but the block)
