'56 F100 Pick-up bed
Has anyone got any details of mounting locations etc. to
electrically
tilt the bed. ie Position of lifter points and type and length of lifter, bear in mind that I am in the UK but do get bits sent over.
Thanks

Just to understand, are you wanting to lift the front of the bed, like a dump truck, or lift the back for access/show of the frame & rear suspension (much harder, as your pivot point has to first slide back, then tilt to clear the cab)? You say "...to electrically tilt the bed" so it sounds like you're planning to use 12V linear actuators, like this Linear Actuator - Linear Actuators, Electric Actuators, 12V Actuators. Low Price! ? Seems like it's just a matter of knowing the weight to be lifted, the height you want it to be lifted, and the speed you want it to lift which will determine the compressed & extended actuator dimensions. Shouldn't be too tough if you're just doing it for looks with an empty bed?Last edited by rspears; 04-17-2012 at 08:13 AM.

Thanks Roger, I want to tilt the bed from the front for show and had hoped that somebody had got one they could run a tape over.
Thanks for the link. Rick
