Give me a break!! It's a home built car!!! Do you honestly think those thousands of restored Model A Fords, Chevies, Packards as well as thousands of hot rods have the original data plate?? Do you really think that if the police stop him and he has a shiny 'new' data plate that MATCHES the registration and insurance cert and title along with the frame stamp they give a damn!Quote:

TY! Have ordered a blank "vehicle Identification plates" from an eBayer in Poland (?!?) so will mount that in the 2 spots normally used (Left door edge & top dash area) hopefully it'll fly. I checked with DMV and they do not check VINSs on cars previously registered in FL, so the only issue would be if it was stolen from me or sold to someone in another state. As I will probably keep it, my added- VIN's should work fine! If anyone else thinks of anything, let me know!
Oh, does any one have a pic of a street beast's, registered in FL, VIN Plate? Would like to come close to matching if possible! THanks!

Your VIN would not have been provided by the kit provider. The state assigned a number after the car was built, ready for the road. The question is did they provide the Owner with a VIN plate for the car, or was it his option to get a plate, engrave the state VIN, and attach it. From Don's post it sounds like you're on the right track - use the number on your clear title for your Polish VIN plate.
After looking at your photos, it is definitely a SB. You scored a nearly completed rod for the cost of a body on a rolling chassis. Cool!! ;)

Thanks! Have been going through the car and have found no major issues.
Replaced most of the relays, cleaned and lubed all the solenoids, replaced alternator (dead), MSD (dead), battery (really dead), replaced ignition switch and moved it to dash (missing parts/keys). Ordered rubber channels to make window channels (missing), Ordered new speakers (blown), new shifter (mangled & too tall). Tires coming from Tire Rack (all 4 are 10 years old and one already has a bubble in the thread). Adjusted carb and belts. Trying to figure out how to latch down the hood (PO must have driven it with painter's tape as there are NO latches holding it down). Trying to figure out what to do about missing molding on the outside rear window (missing) & trying to clean up the missing finish pieces on the interior, especially around the front window. Ordered some Chrome Hood Latches as on a '32 Ford, but with 90 degree bend on base (from a BAJA/VW) dealer, which should work. Just notices 2 cracks in the paint, probably fiber glass cracks. Anyone know how difficult (or expensive) it is to repair fissures?
