Wow thats to bad at least he still has his cars though.
Poor guy's worried about his mom goes to visit her and this happens.
Now he has to worry about where his family is going to stay for the hollidays.
Thats a shame.

Just a house, at least nobody was hurt in the fire. Houses can be replaced...
I had to meet with our local fire marshal last week about a construction permit and asked him if they had a lot of house fires because of Christmas lights. The answer surprised me; he said that the top two causes of house fires year round are cheap microwave ovens and those 110 volt little plug in air fresheners. He said they have a lot of those microwaves that will catch on fire when no one is even using them.
dangit.we have both of those items in our house.mite just throw em both out.
A lot of fires are caused when people use those turkey boilers that are filled with oil. They drop the turkey in and the grease overflows and catches fire. I understand this happens a lot at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Sorry to hear about Dennis' home. Thank God we have never experienced a fire, but it must be devistating to lose your things like that. :(

Material things can be replaced,as most people have adequate Ins.

There're lots of stupid people out there frying turkeys is the problem. If a person uses a little common sense (and follows directions) you establish your oil level using water and the biggest turkey you're cooking first, dump the water and dry everything, including the turkey, then when the oil is hot you turn off the flame, gently immerse the gobbler into the hot oil, and when everything is stable light the fire again to bring the temp back up. The ones who drop an oversize turkey into a pot overfilled with hot oil over a lighted fire??? Maybe they are trying for the Darwin Award???Quote:
