Howard Calvin 1951 Ford Studebaker
My name is michael gallatin i am the grandson of Howard Calvin. if any of you are in the good guys club you may have known him. when he passed i inherited his 1951 for studebaker with a 350 lt1 and a 400 turbo transmission. its fully restored and i will post pics later. my family needs to sell it for the money and people have been saying its worth around 35k-45k. i was hoping some pros on here could help us out about what the true value is. thank you.

Suggest you contact some of the PNW car clubs, they probably know the car and they could come by and take a look at it in person. Most personalized cars (customs, hot rods, etc) are worth whatever someone is willing to pay. If it was built by a name shop or well-known customizer, it may have some provenance, if it was a home job, but well done, it would still have some value to someone interested in that particular look. Early Irons, Old-Timers and many other clubs up there on the west side of the Cascades. Use your computer to do a little research - and - Good Luck

Thanks guys! It's been a long road. Fun doing finishing work for sure. Getting the dash ready for paint and some interior trim. Have to do some finish work on the aluminum headliner before...
