..and a few more!
The red 'Vette was candy paint. Rare on the street!
The green and black car was a 1917 Dodge.
The old custom built "team bus" was a U of A Athletic Department vehicle, built in the distant past!
The van was one of my jobs... but I don't know who that "burned out" hippie is?
That 1917 Dodge is certainly a sleeper and great colour choice eh you old hippy. how old is that paint job on the VW??? The green custom coupe in the first photo looks outstanding also.
Nice work on the van. I think the hippy might of ingested some of the art work!:D Looks to be a nice showing of lots of different cars.
That Dodge got me! It looked like a resto... except the color made me curious, so I walked around to see what kind of power, and.... :-)
The VW bus was done about a year ago. It isn't your traditional scheme.... more of an updated version... but he did let me put in a few things to give it some '60s feeling.
Lets just say that in my distant past... coincidentally about '67-'71... I did some research into the "inspiration" discovered by hippie artists of that era. {:-)~
It was a good turnout. We are heavy into our car show season. This is like Springtime for people in the Southwest. We are just coming out of our worst weather, and will now enjoy about 8 months of Spring. :-)
Some really nice cars, thanks for the putting up the pics!
Thanks for sharing the pics HRP! Looks like a beautiful day with a great turnout!
Having a tie dye adorned painter doll in front of your car beats hell out of one of those annoying cryin' kid dolls.............
;):D
I saw the Dodge at out local car show here couple weeks back (Cars in the Park) it's a very interesting car. I was like Jay, I saw it at a distance and figured a resto until I saw the valve covers.
Thanks for those pix HRP,,Nice stuff there,,that old Dodge is a bit of me..Just love the sneaky ol ''wolf in sheeps clothing''appearance of a near resto with a hemi...kool..
Very cool pictures.
