Len,
Go to Ebay and search for Chevy Rear-end and get an idea what they are going forOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Len, with regards to “possi”, I don’t think that anyone can really tell you what is too much for a “hard” to find “rear end”. After all, a lot depends on how desperate one is. Some “possi” cost a lot more than other, simply cause of the quality. All I can say is, when you see the right one, go for it! After all, isn’t your ‘appiness worth more than money?
Some people will search all their life to find ‘appiness and in the end, still not find it. I say, when you find a possi that will do the trick, why waste it? Time is of the essence!
Now you speak of a “rear end” which is in good shape, BONUS, if it coms with a possi. Are you sure it is a “possi”? Have you taken a good “hard” look into the matter?
It all coms down to this, do you want a possi or need a possi? In the end, you will have to face yourself and ask the honest question and like 76GMC said, do you really need a possi.Objects in my rear view mirror are a good thing unless,.... they have red and blue lights flashing.

I was just thinkin it would take some pretty torquey engine to spin posi with 273 gears.

Thanks guys! It's been a long road. Fun doing finishing work for sure. Getting the dash ready for paint and some interior trim. Have to do some finish work on the aluminum headliner before...
