I would get some flat bar probably 1/8 " and either weld on some studs or drill and tap for flathead bolts for the mounting holes to slide over. I would then either tack weld in, or JB weld it to your header. I would make it a tight fit vertically so there would be no movement that way.
I would also do as suggested prior , shorten up the threaded shaft to suit.

I've actually decided to scrap the electric motor and make a hand crank instead
The motor is far too bulky and obstructs my view no matter how I mount it
Besides, I don't really plan on driving in the rain and the last 3 downpours I got caught in really didn't affect the flat windshield much for some reason
(and I have yet to put Rain-X on it)
I figure a hand crank will be easier to conceal as well as a neat conversation piece

Looks to me that you are missing the wood up there on the header panel, thats what you would normally screw the motor to. I do know that my buddies Bob and Gavin @ www.newportwipers.com came up with a trick dual wiper system for the model A's. By the way the motor you have is made for boat windshields and found their way into hundreds of model A's.

Necessity is the mother of invention, way to make it work!
...at least I'm enjoying the ride!
