Thanks all. You have no idea how happy this makes me to get to this stage. This car has been spread out in a zillion pieces for so long and Dan kept finding things he had to change. Every time I thought it was ready to spray he kept finding more "issues."

Someone posted on another forum that you have to decide at some point if you are going to do everything you want to do to a car or if you want to actually drive it at some point. While I respect Dan for wanting to do the best job he can, I think he is now learning that if you agonize over every little spot on the car you will never, ever get it done. Besides, I want my car to have some flaws before I drive it so that the first rock or speed bump mark doesn't drive me nuts. Luckily, Don inherited that same trait from me, but Dan takes after his Mother, I think.

Last week we took the last 33 pieces to the powder coater, and got them back on Friday. Stuff like the underdash supports, brake pedal and master cylinder bracket, etc. Now he can start bolting that in place, but first we have to prep, prime, and paint the bed. Hopefully, this next weekend we can do some more priming.

Only 78 more days until we leave for Turkey Run, and he still has a bunch of work to do.

Amazing job Dan and Dad,you both should be soooo proud of what you have accomplished. The most outstanding finish on both interior and exterior, love it.
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Thanks Whiplash. If this thing didn't get painted soon I was about ready to sneak over there with a brush and some Mary Carter House paint.

I know Barb. You should see the "discussions" we have when I suggest some shortcut. You would think I am defacing the Mona Lisa. I want to be there when the first big bug has the nerve to hit this thing at 70 mph.
