color choices Getting Close

Couple guys are working on doing me different colors . I plan a two tone body one color , fenders and splash another . Couple picks here This one sits almost exactly like mine .

I'm not too keen on that two tone, resto rod look, especially since you've got the independent front that will be visible from the front. But then I'm just a boring kind of guy.

I'd do that bronze color all day long though, it suits the body style and has enough flexibility to work with the indy.

Now I would of thought a pink would of been your answer Uncle Bob,or is that reserved for Don and his '27?? Bobby,my 2 cents worth, If you are going with the vinyl top I would paint the body and guards the same colour. Also because you started with a very straight original car,I think a dark colour would suit it. I in favor of the grey or maybe a silver type of colour. As I mentioned else where, picking the final colour can be the most awkward part of the built.

How did you catch 3 different cars in exactly the same spot to take those pictures?

I like the solid ones too, but have seen some with different colored fenders and they look fine also. But I agree they tend to say resto rod somewhat. With that nice body you can paint it anything and it will turn out sharp.

Gold/bronze not too bad,but I like the dark silver,#3..Wheels look good too...Hard job,that paint ...Color can make or break,like wheels...

I've seen many sedans painted like the first one and as long as the colors aren't screamin' different, they do look pretty good.

Another choice as far as two tone is the main body one color, then the roof and beltline detail another. I intend on doing that raised detail on my car another color soon (and that's another story)

If you use a black roof cover, the body a second and the fenders/splash shields a third, then it gets confusing (IMHO, anyhow)

Sorry but I won't be much help Bobby. I've been looking at so many color chips lately it makes my head spin! And everyone keeps asking, "So, what color is it gonna be?" , LOL

Yup, clearcoat the body and guards and then paint the hood in gloss black.

Im a huge fan of chromies & whitewalls too.

The 3rd pic is actually a Dove Grey color . If you can find a good color two tones are great but some need to be all one color . But guys input is what I was looking for .
