I am re-plumbing my bel-air and am wondering if I really need to add a loop or coil in the line near where it connects to the master cylinder. I know they are for flex and expansion/contraction, but I have quite a few bends in the lines already.
Do you guys always put them in?
I would probably put one loop or possibly even a flex in each line. I have to think that the design engineers did it for a reason - especially if it's a 4 door hard top or convert. Those cars had lots of cowl shake:eek:Quote:

Thx guys...Ill put them in. Its Sunday with no auto parts stores open and I was running short of brake line and itching to get this done, looking for any excuse not to put in the loops. Ill put this off until later...
If you have as you said quite a few bends already they will serve as an expansion loop per say as long as they are not clamped and the system can expand and contract. If in doubt though add the loop as others suggested.
