I have a friend down here in NZ that taught himself how to auto paint in the 60's and turn out to be a top sort after custom car painter. One his first jobs was a heavy metallic tangerine with purple lace /white pinstripe paint job on an early Anglia that the local Rod club chased him to enter into their rod show.He didn't think it was good enough to be seen with top rods in a show setup but was absolutely shocked when he walked away with Best paint award. He went to own his wn Panel and Paint shop and did extremely well.

When you love what you do, you work harder at it! :-) Never being satisfied helps too.
