Hi @ll
I'm still waiting for my dropped I-beam axle. The shop owner told me a few parts of the GM brakes are not there yet ... I'm waiting now for 3 months ... slowly I'm tired of waiting. Can someone tell me if there is an alternative sports brake system like brembo or other manufacturers?
@Sime
Hi, sorry I skipped your question. I am waiting still for the installation of the front axle and the Body.
Wow! I'm impressed with your patience!!! I guess we're a little spoiled on this side of the pond! Heck, I get disgusted if Speedway doesn't have my parts here the next day, and you're waiting months for an axle and some brake parts!!!
What spindles are you going to be running? If we knew what brakes you will be needing maybe someone could make some suggestions.
hi Dave
Thanx! I have no other option :-)
What are spindles ? My axel is now in the container and on the way :-)
I have used the time and bought a car. Just need the engine :-)

The spindles go on the end of the axle, the brakes and wheels attach to them...
Watched your movie on the Volvo--I would say the engine is certainly the best part of the car!!!!
I have now Idea.

You're right, the rest is scrap. The first owner of the car was a Emergency doctor so I'm not sure, how long the engine works. The car has 350.000 km but everyone told me that the Volvo engines are very durable
Hi again from germany.
here some update news from my project.
Looking behind the door panel, I have the original interior light and an old bread knife discovered

The rod had to wait a bit, because we bought a small house and had to renovate. For that I finally have a double garage.

Last year the "German Street Rod Association" printed a report on my vehicle. Furthermore, I am of course very pleased.

Congrats on the new house, worth all the moving hassle to get a nice garage! Nice getting the magazine coverage, too! The chop looks good, and a great find on the dome light! Good to see you getting back on your project, Stephan!
I agree! Congrats on the house & move.. That original light looks like a pretty cool item, looks like a cut glass! And you made a magazine also! WOW! Keep up the hard work!
Thank you guys :) Yes its a cut glas
work in progress..

There ya go! nothing shows progress more then sitting the top down where it belongs! Going to have a very nice 'look' to it, good decision on the amount you took out!
Last week we brought the Volvo and the Chassis to the tuner. He will mount the engine into the Chassis and bring the performance to around 330 HP..I think more than enough...

Neat video! Welding the car back together is always such a time consuming task!!!!
