I found a bunch of photos we took at the beginning of the year,,where we were hoping to lure Ken Thurm for a few hours while he was in Auckland.
These pics have been hiding on the laptop for several months..

Some great pic's and thanks for sharing them! I just love the #26 car! It's great to see the variations in the themes we follow around the world. Thanks again!

Interesting to note that when Dave Alexander was building that car,he did it entirely from photos, any information he could get, plus on a trip to the States,he managed to get permission to go on the other side of the barrier in the museum to get a pile of measurements and pics to make sure it was as accurate as he could get, hence Art Chrisman saw it at Bonneville last year, and was quite blown away by the authenticity of the build,he also autographed the dash, then Dave and his friend Paul "Pins" Sattler proceded to drive its wheels off and gazzumped each others records a few times..
Since then, its been dirt tracking, and driven all over.. Micah 6:8

The Rancheros And El Caminos are treasured by lots...there are quite a few of each breed popping up.The red elky was built up and owned by Duane Jones,of Kiwi Konnection,a while before he went Stateside..
Would have loved to grab that Ranchero on the transporter, but have enough to do now... Last edited by lamin8r; 11-07-2009 at 03:37 PM. Reason: spelling Micah 6:8
