    1980 Corvette

We just finished painting and taking the black paint off of the chrome, which looks very nice with the paint job. Now on to the interior.... have been looking at some pictures and I really like the mahogany console. The problem that I am having is that I really don't like the idea or look of the plastic with wood grain, is it possible or has anyone taken actual wood and made a console? and any pointer or suggestions... the interior is tan. Going to redo the carpet in black, and leave the tan dash, and tan seats. On the door panel I had the idea of leaving the tan on top, doing a wood piece in the center and replacing the tan carpet on the door with the black carpet with a tan border. The pics that I'm putting on are from before we bought the car, sanding and starting painting and when we finished the painting. Will get a couple of pics of it all put back together with the chrome.
