    1937 pontiac sedan 4 door`

I am about to obtain and start restoration on this vehicle... wanting to make a hot rod out of it... was contemplating choping the top. I was looking on line and to my surprise have not found any pictues of one done. . . would it be considered taboo to do this????

One reason might be that I've read it's a huge PITA to chop a 4 door. The 4 doors usually don't hold the same resale value as a two door either, which is probably another reason you can't find many people who chop them....

Do you have any pictures? I have a 1937 Cadillac LaSalle and would have contemplated chopping the top. However, once they are lowered they take on a very different look and in my opinion don't need a chop.

    Great. . .

Well, this is what it looks like at the moment. after seeing the pic posted here I think that going ahead with choping the top to make the windows even with the very back.... and thought it was very interesting that the back windows open....LOL also, this vehicle does not have the headlights with it... but I'm thinking of installing them into the front fenders....

    What power plant?

Would be neat to see a 455 Poncho setting in the engine bay.

My thoughts exactly, keep it in the family..The 38 Chevy in the pic is full of 454,cuts low 12s,runs hard for a stock weight street cruiser.

Thanks for your opinion but it doesn't matter to me... If you don't have something nice don't say anything at all... Have a good day.
