weekend progress
Hey guys,
It has been a long time since I have posted on here, or even done any work on my truck. I have a baby due in less than month and am determined to get the truck in paint before then. I took the cab down to bare metal yesterday and started on patch panels this morning:
I cut out the gas filler neck/cab corner to replace it with a patch panel. I have a mustang gas tanke mounted in the back in between the frame rails. No more need for this.
Good thing I did, i found a ton of bondo covering a very crappy patch job.
I am going to put the patch panel in, and then rebuild the inside part from under the cab. It will allow me to make the patch line up better.
Anyway, I thought I would share my work. It feels good to get some actual work done. And the cab wasn't as bad as I thought, however there are a few cancer spots on the roof that were simply filled with body filler. I am going to have to cut those and and replace with sheet metal.
Thanks,
Ben
