And for what its worth from down here in New Zealand...stick with the FE,probably get more usable horsepower out of that with the right head work and crank and rod combo than a 429..Ahhh,nostalgia..I have a 352 that will be getting the treatment for our 60 Galaxie 4dr h/top..:D
Rank, Thanks for your opinion (that is why I am on this forum). I like the idea of putting the 390 in because very little cost will be needed. But the 429 would be fun to do.
I never knew that a 352 was an engine until I bought the Galaxie, and started reading about the engine. Yes the 352 was put in a alot of F1's back in the 60's as well as some cars. LAMIN8R Good luck with the 60.
Thanks CW,the Galaxie has to sit for a while longer,as the wifes Customline is in the middle of a major rebuild,and I havent even been able to get anything done on that either,for some weeks..:( but,I do have a lot of work on at the present time,so...make bodies while the sun shines..:DQuote:
