fuel question
I was wondering do you have to do anything special to your fuel system to run high octane racing fuel or a mix of regular and racing fuel? im talking carburated engines.

No, but you will have to add some bracing to your wallet.

no worries unless you are running leaded race fuel and have catalytic converters.... no cat, no problem. No need to retune carb but you will probably want to add more timing lead to take advantage of the higher octane. Let your plugs tell you where it wants to be... put in a new spark plug, run it hard and look for the "blue line" or color change from annealing of the ground strap of the plug... you want that line to be at or a little bit past the bend in the strap (toward the base). I like to run it about half way between the bend and the base. More timing moves that line further down the strap and gets you closer to maximum power for that octane level but once that line gets to the base, you'll be getting into detonation.
Two cents,

Thanks for the inputs guys !
