WOW, that's a really nice old piece!!!!
-
That`s a nice start! you gonna go resto or hot rod it?
-
That is a very nice ol Buick!
-
Very nice solid car; no tears in the seats! I did not know early Buicks had a 6cyl engine. If modernization is caused by loss of rare parts maybe a GMC 6cyl of more recent vintage would fit in the engine bay. Still if funds and parts are available it would make an impressive restoration! It is not likely that resto parts are available except from donor cars and ultimately a few pieces may have to be fabricated. I must confess a weak spot for real nostalgia related to original parts from long ago, especially since I do not have a single original part on my '29 Ford! I guess you could call it the "Time Machine" effect.

Kewl project! I read earlier where you thought it would sit lower, doesn't look like the suspension settled much.... Any plans to lower the car a bit????
-
The front is about where I want it but the rear needs to drop about 1 1/2". I will fill the fuel tank and drive it a week or two and see if it settles any.
-
Amazing! Excellent work! I am hoping you can save the original upholstery somehow but it may be subject to dry rot? Anyway it is very interesting to see the original. Probably there are good restoration mohair kits available but the blue cloth is very interesting if it is original.

I just clicked the "QUOTE" button in the lower right hand corner of your post and wrote this in the white space that comes up under your quote......

Wow! Just Wow! Nice work. I like the use of old and new. The engine looks to be one mean street machine. Like all of the above comments the theatre style seating is the bomb! Everything about it is cool. Those rolled bumpers are fantastic and the old spare is an excellent touch. Are the floors in back old wood planks? If so even better!:D:cool::cool:
-
Yes, all the wood is mint...and I have the original carpet which is solid but looks kind of rough.
-
Over how long of a period has this all taken place?!? Certainly longer than the week the thread has existed
-
66 days, I got the car on March 8 and didn't touch it for two weeks (March 22). Took it for the first drive on May 27. I was also gone to Branson (25th Anniversary) for a week during that time.

I took the Buick out for it's first "Cruise In", it was recieved very well. Everyone was amazed that the interior was original.

How was the ride? Must of felt nice rumbling in that classic! What kind of horse power is under the hood?
-
It feels really good, I got 56 miles on it now. As for power, it scoots down the road pretty good.
