Minnesota hot rod?
I made a post looking for a southwestern rod's history...but I think I found a Minnesota connection.
Anyone know this car from the late '70s or early '80s? I think it may be from the Minneapolis area. It was striped in '79 by Cliff Anderson.
Here are some pictures.

If I could I would kick myself in the butt right now. Just from seeing this car. I had the chance to buy one in the summer of 1987 that was candy apple red, and it had wire wheels like this one plus a chrome jag rear end for $16,000 the guy would budge, and I wouldn’t give him full price.

It has a nice look to it. I was not a big fan of "restorods", but this may be the exception! :-)

Any "Minnesotans" home yet? I talked to the striper today. He is trying to help find information.

Hi,
I've gone to or participated in a LOT of car shows in the twin cities area for years. I also am fond of Model A rods in particular but I have not seen this rod before. I know that I would remember those brown "rootbeer" fendors and all that striping under the hood had I seen it previously.

Thanks. The only link to the area, at this time, is the 30 year old 1979 date by the striper. The firewall looks like it was striped without a motor in the car, and the car has never been repainted, so we thought it was might have been done as it was being built. Obviously, a father & son team, by the same name, in Minneapolis, make it seem very possible that the car might be from there. Also there is striping underneath the car, so it seems unlikely it was done at some sort of "drive in" gathering, like a tour, roadtrip, or outdoor event.
Any more old enthusiasts out there?
