Conversations with kenny (d that is!)

Just had a nice 45 or so minute conversation with Kenny Davis. That alone should tell you something about how he's doing. I'll leave it up to him to tell you all as much as he feels needs be said about the specifics of his condition, but I'll just say he sounded TERRIFIC.............pretty much like he always does.

It's 5 weeks today since his accident and he's been fully released from close care. There's a few things that are still in a natural healing cycle, but his recovery is anything but natural. The debate now is whether he wears a red and blue suit with an S on the chest, or crash dummy targets on the sides of his head.

I caught him actually working on a '32 Ford out in the shop, though he says he's been fighting installing a steering column because he doesn't see as well as before. My response was "yeah.............so............welcome to the world of us older hot rodders.................."

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

I am so happy that Kenny is doing well. He must have a suit with a S on it under his clothes. Truly remarkable.

Good to hear! And to be working on a 32, that should say he's got his head on straight.
    Wishing you health in 2009!!
