Well just when you think Christmas is over Pops comes through again! As a complete surprise to me dad went way overboard and got me a complete 4x2 Offy manifold complete with all carbs and linkage! It looks like the Graffiti Coupe is going to have to get started now! Thanks to Bill for parting with this beautiful set up.(super appreciated Bill) I promise to put it to good use Bill! Boy am I glad my dad was into hot rodding instead of knitting!:LOL::LOL:

Sorry Don, I hadn't seen that you had posted this thread, so I posted some of it on your Paul Lemat thread. I have to mention that this whole carb deal couldn't have been possible without Gastrick (Bill) A) Willing to sell it, and B) Being extremely generous in the price. He simply wanted my Son to have that setup and although he could have gotten way more selling it on Ebay or something like that, he put money out of the picture and instead focused on helping another person out. But that is just the way Bill and his whole family are.
I had the pleasure of spending some time with them last Saturday when I drove to Lauderdale to get the carbs, and enjoy seeing them more each time we run into each other. His Mom, Dad, and Brother are exactly like Bill as far as just being about the nicest, most real folks around. They are also some very hard core rodders and are always knee deep in some project. I took some pictures when I was over there. First one is Bill working on the motor mounts to install the 392 Hemi in his already sweet Deuce. Second one is a picture of his Dad and Brother, and the other two are his old and new engines, and his Brother's cool 55 Chevy. (BTW, they tell me the 55 has a history. It was one of the extras used in American Graffiti.......but not the one they rolled over! :LOL:)

Yep, that is Bill's Dad's Willys. These guys have bigblockitis, every car they have is stuffed full of engines like 502's and Hemis. I think the Willys is getting a huffer on top of a Hemi, if I recall. I know Bill borrowed his Dad's Hemi valve covers to mock up his 32, and they were saying something about an 871 sitting on a shelf. His Dad already has that black Pontiac (48 I think), also running a BBC and all the modern comforts.

Nothing says "MEAN" like a slammed willys with a huffed Hemi and fat tires in the rear tubs. I'll look forward to seeing your dad's car finished.:cool:

I wish I had taken more pictures, but I was trying to get back on the road. The dash in the Willys is really trick, maybe Bill has more shots of that.

Tattle tale :LOL:. Com'n Don, we're really roughing it out there. Seriously though, we just installed those creature comforts this summer. We didn't even have drywall or a ceiling in there. It used to be so hot that the sweat would drip off of us and then rise up to the rafters and turn into clouds of humidity and then fall back down on us:CRY:. Well maybe not, but it was pretty dang hot up until a couple of months ago.
I know what you mean Bill. I'm lovin' this cool weather. We actually had to close the shop garage door tonight as it got pretty nippy..........ok, 68 degree nippy, but nippy nonetheless. :D We better enjoy it, in a few more months we will be back up to 95 in the shop and 100 percent humidity.

Don cold is relative to where you are. When I worked in the Keys, we all had sweaters and jackets on when it dropped below 70. Must be a humidity thing. It seriously felt like it was freezing! Right now it is 32 outside, with a high of 68, and I was out in shorts and a tee shirt during the day! Go figure!:D
