I remember asking Paul how the coupe drove. He said it was scarey. The fron suspension, steering and brakes were old loose feeling. Back in the 80's frame builders solved the drivability 4 bar problems. It might be hard to stay with the exact front suspension and steering look and be safe. I agree with the above comments on the shortened grill. For a while I followed a company who put one of the first "Milner" 5W bodies out in fiberglass. Can't think of the name. They bought the rights to the poster business (special edition numbered - had to have it)."Chance favors the prepared mind"

I saw Paul Le Mat at a Big 3 San Diego Swap meet several years ago. He was signing autographs and walking around and talking to people just like everyone else was doing. If you didn't know who he was, he could have walked right by you unnoticed. VERY nice and "down to earth" kind of guy. The promoters had a 5W yellow coupe sitting behind his autograph table but anyone familiar with Milner's Coupe knew it wasn't the real deal. If I remember right, that Deuce sported a 6x2 offy manifold which was a dead giveaway.

He was like that at this show too. Very down to earth, great guy. He had a yellow duece behind him here too. (Not original) The induction used on the original coupe was a 4 two barrel set up made by Man-a-fre. Offy makes a simular setup too. Here is a picture of the original car setup. Don Jr.Don Jr.

Don, I just happen to have a complete 4X2 setup (the Offfy version) for a sbc on the shelf with carbs, linkage, and all. Let me know if you ever need it.
I may not be good but I sure am slow

Pops, the guy to blame for the "sickness" stares you in the mirror every morning!
Hot Rod Daddy the "mr Blue" T is on its way to your house as we speak! I removed the engine though for your own protection!

Mike, Thank you for the link. It seems like their parts are real quality pieces. A great resource. I did not know they existed. They even carry a very accurate rear nerf bar!
Thaks again,
Don Jr.

Thanks to a very generous Gastrick, Santa was able to fix Don up with the second ingredient for his Milner clone. I drove over to Bills house last weekend and surprised Don with the intake setup. Don was wondering why Bill hadn't sent him the pictures he promised, but Bill and I had made a side deal.

Ok, now you have the shift knob and carbs......... time to start building !

I bet Dan and Don have more than a few parts lying around to keep costs down, not to mention the fabrication skills to do all the right personal touches to the car! Now it will be which project to start! T-bird or.. the five window.

Steve
You are exactly right! This should be a great build to watch. This crew is fast too, so I wouldn't expect it to take very long either!
