Trans cooling, need help
I've probably missed past articals on trans coolers but this is what I got. I have a 350 Chev, 350+ HP. Who knows, cause it has'nt been dyno'd. Behind it is a Turbo 350 trans. My question is, do I have to run my trans cooling lines up to my rad, or can I run them to a trans cooler mounted flat or at a slight angle on the frame beside the tranny? My 27 is'nt going to weigh much more than a bucket and it's not like I'm going to pull a trailer. I just want to cruise and let her bust loose now and then. How much cooling does a Turbo 350 need? Can I get away with the cooler next to the trans? Thanks.

Thanks Richard, I did'nt know if I could or not. Guess not. Got to figure out now where I'm going to hide those lines.

Sounds good. I got lots of 1/4 and 3/8 stainless tubing. I'll give it a try.

Polished / clamped and hooked to the radiator works on mine.

These mount in the frame rail: http://store.summitracing.com/produc...earchtype=ecat, but the radiator is a better idea because if the trans overheats, you engine will run hot too, otherwise you would never know.
