New project, True Blue 31 5 window
Hello One and all. Well I have had a great summer with a few different cars passing through my garage.
One a 1929 Ford five window coupe body, that I bought and sold. Original paint, and very little rust.
And a 1949 Ford club coupe. Nice, 302, C4 trans. I did a lot of work to this car, dropped front spindles, Dynamat the trunk and inside floors. Rechromed the front bumper.
A lot of little TLC things that most people wouldn't notice.
But it just wasn't the car for me.
So I got this 31 Ford 5 window coupe. Completely stock, except for a rebuilt motor with inserts, electric overdrive,48 Ford juice brakes and spindles. New tires and powder coated Kelsey Hayes wheels.
This is the start for my hot rod coupe.
So far I have a new Jake's I-beam 4" dropped front axle, a lowered front spring with reversed eyes, I split the wishbone, Corvair steering box.
Today I pulled the front fenders, radiator and hood assy. Pulled the motor and trans. Now I need to get the overdrive and rear end out. I have a rear spring with reversed eyes from my 29 Ford pickup that I kept when I sold it.
I will take a few pics on Monday and post Monday night of my progress so far.

30 Coupe is now 30 Pickup
Yes I do have some new pics of the project. And the changes are very dramatic....
The coupe is now a 1930 Ford closed cab truck. All steel, stock motor and trans. Dropped front axle and spring, tube shocks, juice brakes. 48 Ford spindles and brakes. I added a reversed eye rear main spring, to get the rear down more.
Sorry to all you coupesters, but I am a pushover for a good looking Ford truck, roadster or closed cab.
