Ken sorry to hear about your friend. Broken ribs and a collapsed lung are pretty serious. I'm glad to hear he survived with all his body parts intact. Sad to see a beautiful car like that all twisted up. It's sad that some people don't think the basic driving laws apply to them. I see people do crazy stuff every day on the way to work. With the real dangerous ones, I always make a mental note to see if they beat me to work at the hospital, in the back of an ambulance. Seriously the worst are the people chatting on their cell phones, instead of paying attention to the road. Don's right we all need to keep our motorcycle sense on full alert while out on the road. Hope your friend fares well Ken."
"No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Sorry for the large photo's. The lady didn't stop. I visited him last night and asked him what he remembers. He said he saw the car coming at him, he was certain she would of broadsided him if he hadn't moved. The next thing, he was on a gurney and he saw his car upside down. He is really sedated and has no idea how bad his car is. The photo's don't show how bad it really is. I really think the body can be saved and the engine, then miscellaneous stuff, gages steering wheel, thats about it, it's a 5 speed, but it's broken. Maybe the center section in the rear end but that's about it. I think the body is a Brookville. There is a lot of round tubing in the "B" pillar area. I think this kept the doors from opening.
I want to thank all of you for your best wishes, he is really a nice guy.
This accident has more bad news, insurance. His car is totaled and he is way under insured. This is something I don't pay much attention to, my wife does all this. After talking to him I got thinking, I wonder if he has enough insurance to replace this thing and are my cars covered for replacement value.
When I got home I asked my wife what the cars are covered at. She says, "what ever you told me they were worth".
After looking at our policy's we have them valued at probably half of what it would cost to replace them. I wonder if you guys are covered in case of a loss? I'm not trying to pry just something that might help in case of a loss.
Ken
