Darn, my maximum bid was $105,000. Just missed it by $100.

Those look pretty good from the screen. Why buy 1 when you can have all 3 at 3x the cost?
Seriously if any of you guys want to bid you can pay me $200/hr plus expenses and I'll drive up there and check 'em out for ya. And I know enough about old henry metal to be dangerous.

According to the description, the roadster "has not been started in the last 15 years" yet it has current Texas plates. Hmmm, were the plates swapped off of the coupe?

I used to know two brothers who had a farm in Florida with two large garages (60 x 100) nearly filled with old cars. They had pickups from the 30's thru 50's, and roadsters and coupes from the late 20's and early 30's (at least 9 pristine 29 to 32 Ford and Chevy roadsters and cabrio's. They also collected Corvettes, had several from each decade. They would either restore or rod the cars, drive them a little bit and then store them on homemade racks two high. They used to travel all over the place looking for barn and field finds and then trailer them home. Once they bought a 33 Ford in W Va,with a tree growing thru it. Cut down the tree and loaded the car on a trailer to home.
They had an oil and gas company in WVa that they had sold for millions and they relocated to Florida for retirement. I used to love just walking around and checking out the cars. One of the brothers died a few years back. The remaining brother, who is in his late 70's, builds air boats for a hobby and sells them at damn near cost (he don't really need the money). It will sure be interesting if or when their collection comes to market.
