[QUOTE=Wolfco;340365]A couple pics...got the car on jackstands so i can route air hoses, wiring and general stuff. nice to be able to get under the car.
Hey Wolf,
Just a thought about your connection to the compressor. I don't know if your compressor line is permanent or not but a word of caution. I had a DOT line from my compressor to the manifold and the first time I powered it up the heat from the compressor ballooned the line and popped it. She comes down in a hurry.
They put a braided line on the compressor from the factory.
John
good idea...p have a 300psi braided air hose...ran for 13 minutes to fill the frame to 120 psi...no issues. Frame hold a sh!t load of air!! i pretested the frame to 165 psi with my air compressor in the shop...no issues.
thanks for the heads up..i will keep an eye on that .....i can make a high pressure line at work (aeroquip style).
Jeff
Done. started it in the shop. burnout. approx 8-9 months build time and $3350 or so...i need to add the final reciepts but i did break the 3k mark...i think the airbags killed me on the cost....fittings, valves, airhose, bags, switches wire ....on and on... cool but timely and spendy.
WORLD OF WHEELs car show in 3 days >.Feb 6/7/8 in ST Paul MN...car is entered and will be there.

a shot of the exterior and one of the dash.
COOL!!! congrats on the ride!! have fun.
Trailered the queen to the Car show in St Paul MN last night...
took it around the block before i loaded it on the trailer...that truck is fun to drive...light, powerful.. cant wait for summer!
Way to go Wolfco. Hope you do well. For 3k you did an amazing job of making a cool, creative, drivable rat rod. I have been impressed by your creativity and drive. The air bag system is very cool. Good luck at the show.

I didnt win the show, but got honorary second.
The section of the show was sponsored by OL Skool Rods! the guys with the black modle a truck with suicide doors won...it was a sweet truck with a flathead and great craftsmanship and alot of time in that buggy.
My kids had a great time at the show too...taking a break in the car.
After the show on Sunday at 7 pm, we drove the car around ST Paul!!! just a few blocks to the trailer but got great response from various people. no title, insurance etc. but heck it is a car show....a free ride around town and the cops are bit more forgiving.
Some guy even had his girlfriend pose for a pic on the car, he really liked the car and asked where he could get one...(this one is not for sale)...
:D
Trailered home and put it in the garage, the last pic is my friend Adam with the suburban tow vehicle..thanks Adam!
...time for a tuneup and some other small things...will post later but may be a while.
pretty much done.
7.5 months
$3400 -i broke the 3k mark....tough to keep it below 3k with airbags! :)
Wolfco
Hey, Great Job!!!
Who's the dish standing behind you and the trophy?
Congrats, those are a nice bunch of kids in the car!
It was great to see your truck in person!! I heard a lot of people talking
about your front suspension and how cool of a design it is. Lots of people taking pictures too!! CONGRATS on a job well done!
I liked the story about the sparks going down the street!
