F1 Steering Box
I have a steering box from a '49 F1 to use in our Essex project with Model A frame front (cowl forward). It looks like it needs to stick out beyond the frame about an inch or so to have room for the motor/bell housing. I want to use the drag link set-up and having it about an inch above the frame rail seems to give a level attitude for it, from pitman arm to steering arm on '49 front end. Anybody have pictures of their installation that I could get ideas from? I want to keep it back toward the cowl as much as I can so the mount points of the radius rod come close to the pitman arm point, as suggested. HELP. Perley
