Made a real difference, now I can clean up the parts for my own rpu. :) I also bought his bomber seats from him. He can't use them as the sides are too high and getting in with a top is a real acrobatic act. They were originally bought for the body I now have, so they will bolt right in.
Dan got some of those little pesky jobs out of the way, like building mounts for his 37 Ford taillights, and making mounts for his tailgate. Came out pretty nice. As for color, we discussed going with satin black for a while for a couple of reasons. First of all, we are running out of time to make Turkey Run this year, and we can spray satin black ourselves and get it done pretty fast. Secondly, the paint job he wants ultimately is going to cost some serious money and he is a little tired of spending every spare dollar on this car. He has literally been spending all his money on this thing for 4 years, and he needs to take a breather from that for a while.
I know satin black is sometimes viewed as overdone and a cheap way out, but it is time to get this car on the road finally. Once he drives it for a while he can save up and get the final paint job on it..........or not. He may end up liking the satin and keep it for a bit longer. But that is only yesterdays talk, that could change tomorrow. :o I'm pushing for the satin.........he needs to finally be able to drive this car and enjoy it rather that spending every weekend slaving over it.
