If you could pick one zero miles car.....

I was pondering what might be my favorite car, and the question popped into my head..."What if it was absolutely brand new!"

After that the agonizing started! There have been soooo many wonderful, rare, beautiful, fast cars......how would I choose?

A new '65 Hemi Satellite hardtop......No! A '68 Hemi Cuda!....but what about the '57 Corvettes that brought me so many thrills......or my red '62 409 2X4 Biscayne....or something as exotic as the rare Corvette powered Devin SS...or one of those two cammer Cobras!!!!

Then I started thinking about how time has destroyed so many wonderful cars, that the chance to own an older one might be worth a sacrifice in rarity, value, or horspower......Then it was clear!

In the late '60s I used to haunt a junkyard in central Illinois, and while I have always been a huge fan of the ''53-'55 Studebaker styling....in my opinion, one of the fastest looking, and most timeless designs ever....I'll always remember the red and white one with the Targa band over the roof and white interior, sitting in the weeds there. If I could have stepped into that car on it's first day, I'd be in heaven.

Now the big question......What would be your fantasy car?

For me it would have to be a 1957 Chrysler 300C (second choice....58 D)
I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

Make mine a 1957 Dodge Custom Royal D-500, 325 Hemi and Torqueflite. Two-door hardtop, please, no ragtops for me!

Just to clarify, those in your pictures are '55 Studebakers, but all the same it's great to see someone else has Studie dream cars

I like the '53 -'55 Studies, before the big grill was used.

So far we all agree on '50s models, but I didn't mean to limit it to that.

Maybe that desire is what drives people to restore cars back to total factory correct. I have my Studebaker, though it is not original. If I had to pick one, I think I would like to have a brand new '66 Biscayne 427/425 4 speed. I had a 68 like that, it wasn't new but had less than 20k miles when I got it. But it would be nice to have one that no one else had before me.

I dont think i could pin just one car, granted i dont have deeper set roots to alot of the early iron either, but if were going for zero mileage fantasy cars then im gonna take a 32 ford! It will sell faster! But if im gonna keep it, ill say a 59 impala.
