I have a long list of favorites but if I had to narrow it down to just one, make mine a new 1967 Corvette 427 435hp 4spd Coupe, Marina Blue with Black hood stripe bright blue interior, side pipes, no a/c .....
so when can I get it???? oops already did, only in my dreams.
62 Corvette. Best of both worlds. http://www.are.com.au/feat/custcar/cc001w.jpg
But hey why not the manta ray proto type. One cool car!http://www.corvetteblog.com/Mako-Sha...ncept-1961.jpg
Seriously, I love this thread, because for the last six years I searched my heart for that one car I could dive into to restore. I love so many of the 30's, 40's 50's and 60-early 70's muscle cars, that I couldn't single one car out. I really liked the old bath tub porsches and speedsters, but equally love a 57 chevy. I just couldn't decide. My wife chose an old truck, and it felt right, especialy with a hot rod twist!:3dSMILE:
After joining here I must say I love certain cars some of you guys have made. Brian ups canary yellow rod - beautiful! Dons project 3k - tooo cool. And Kens colection starting with the RPU wow! All I can say is this becomes an addiction, and next(yes I said next Dave) by the way, some of Daves Merc's oh lala! Anyway, I'm in it for life now, and a little roadster with a kit frame and body will be next. 20 years from now I'll be welding my own!:D **)
'56 Thunderbird:cool:
1970 Z/28 L-T1 350 370HP M22 4-speed 411 12 Bolt Posi . **) COOL
im dead split between about 6 cars,
1968 z/28 camaro 4 wheel disc brakes and crossram
1970 ls6 454 chevelle 4 speed nuff said :D
1966-7 mercury-comet cyclones 427's always thought those were cool.
1964 ford t-bolt
69 roadrunner 440+6 butternut yellow
and the car id probably take over half of that list......
....I'm going for a '65 Plymouth Belvede I w/ the 426 race Hemi & a Torqueflight. The one w\ the aluminum hood & acid diped body, light weight van seats, etc.... There's a name for it but I don't remember it...... A close second is a Copo Nova ala 1969 w/ a 4 speed..... Probably cuz I owned a new '65 Plymouth Belvedere I w/ a 383/auto & a new '69 Nova w/ a 396 4speed. I tried to order a 427 in it. The local dealer put the order in but then after months of waiting & no car I went to another dealer & bought the 396. The dealer finally said that he couldn't get the car. Maybe he didn't know the COPO code??? ..... Bill
The one I should have kept, 1965 Vette with factory 396/425HP.
Yhe only year Vette with a 396. I chromed the valve covers and air cleaner lid, but other than that it was 100% stock and FAST:D
mine would be a hemi cuda, in purple, but the green wouold work.
66 nova ss with big block 4 speed. first thing i would do is put a chrome straight axle under it.
This is so tough... as there are a lot of different aspect of cars I really like... classic, muscle, hot rods and such... I happened to see one of these last week and man is it a nice car... 1940 Packard Darin... Apparently the Darin were custom packards... It was a real sweet ride!
