I was going to ask Don if he would let me work on his roadster, for say, 2 years or so, then I would ship it right back. I promise

IT'S A DEAL !!! With the level of work you do it would come back 300 percent better.

I don't think anyone could improve it, you nailed it!!
Her is what I'm going to build next, since I have that extra '32 cab. A friend of mine saw this in the parts department at a Honda dealership, so he bought it for me. The more I looked at it the more I saw what had been done.

That's actually very cool and high tech looking. I like it.
BTW Ken, what is happening with the sedan?

I can’t think of a guy my age that didn’t do the California dreaming as a kid. You guys are so lucky to be in a place that appears to us dreamers as a wonder full place to be. I wanted to go in 1967 when I got out of the Army but had to start working, didn’t have the money for the trip. We did get there in 1986 came in from Sacramento, spent the night in Santa Cruz, we went through San Francisco pretty fast our little girl was afraid to touch anything we could even stop, she was 14 and heard about aids. We spent time in Anaheim went to Disney Land. I was looking for custom cars didn’t see to many must have been in the wrong area. The pictures of the truck, and the cars look so good, would love have grown up there.

Well, that's a sore subject. I bought the body on Ebay, huge mistake. It wasn't even close to what was represented. I bought a different cowl from a guy in New Mexico to replace the one on the sedan. It's better but still not what they said it was.

Richard-I have lived here most of my life and I see street rods every week that I haven't seen before, I don't know how many there are around here but there is a lot. I enjoy living here if for nothing else.

Ummmm, sorry to hear that. But the bright side is that all '32 bodies are so much in demand that it probably might be worth you trying to save it somewhere down the road. I have seen some amazing cars start out as something most people would scrap.
In the meantime, you probably can find a '32 (or two or three
) in your possession to keep you busy.

Don-I have enough on my plate, but I like to think down the road when I'm working on the current project. I'll bet you thought about your truck when you were working on your T. Every time I walk passed it at work I just see all the bad spots. I forgot my camera this morning, I'll take it tomorrow and show you.

Here is my sad sedan, you can see how bad the windshield frame and cowl vent is. The other cowl is a lot better I guess I shouldn't complain. I do get anxious to start, it will be the most radical car I have ever built.
