Thats a very well known 56 f100 kustom built by Kutty Noteboom son of the famous Bones Noteboom. The grille and head lights are '59 Chrysler Imperial, pontiac split bumpers were used, the three teeth in between the bumpers are 53 plymouth,It has a volare( thats right a plymouth not a mustang 2) front clip,'54 lincoln fender wells, 55 pontiac wagon tailgate, a corvette 283 and 4spd,and straight exhaust.
NICE.
Steve,
The bumpers, panel immediately above them, and the three trim pieces are actually '55 Pontiac.
Well what do I know, I only have the article on the truck in front of me.
definitely pontiac, I hate it when magazines can't get the parts or year or make of the vehicle rite. Sometimes the guy that bought the car feeds them the wrong info because they didn't build it and just don't know.
I'm with you nutz. Given the pay scale, quite a few of the guys working at the magazines are young guys. That in and of itself isn't a problem at all, in some ways it's a good thing. The problem comes in when they prove that they don't know what they don't know.
The good ones will do the research (especially easy with the internet and good search engines we have today) to ensure they know what they're talking about. The lazy ones will just take someone else's word without varification. And the arrogant one's will argue, even in the face of facts. They don't want to be confused, their minds are made up.
all I can say is, it's NICEEEEEEEEE..........joe
