I've been in the market for a 37 - 40 Ford sedan project car for some time and have been visiting the local rod swapmeets but mosetly browsing e-bay. I have a question about buying a car sight unseen from out of state. I figure I'm going to be taking the car apart anyway so sight unseen doesn't worry me too much, but how do you make a purchase like this without a face to face transaction? I'm a little leary of transferring a large sum of money without being handed a pink slip. Any suggestions on this? Anyone ever been burned that can provide some advice?
