If it were me, and I wasn't trying to go "original" on it, I'd go the fiberglass route. I prefer the glass smooth look as well. Just make sure that like HOTRODPAINT said, you reinforce it underneath. That way they don't crack or splinter.Sometimes NOW are the "good old days"...
