into this but w/o the front bumper and in flat black with black rims and wide white wall tires:)
i just love the grill in this one it looks sweet...:D
but the guy who built the brown truck did what i'm looking to do by cutting out the front section of frame and welded in a nove subframe and used a 383chev th350 and a gm 10bolt posi. but i will be using a buick350 and th350 and maybe a ford 9" from a truck or old ford car or a GM rearend? plus i like the ride hieght of the brown truck :) plus i might chop my top 4" just so you guys can picture what i have in my head.
Looks like you have an excellent body there to start with. Whole truck looks to be in great shape. Looking forward to your build, please post lots of pictures and detail on the clip job. Lots of people ask how to do one, and there doesn't seem to be as much info out there as one would think.
Don
this is what she is boys lol
and this is what i want her to look like but in black :) notice i chopped the top and lowered the ride hieght.
Nice mopar, is your truck the same length as the red one in the picture. I think that it will make a great hotrod. Lots of ways to go, subframing is a great way to get all the modern technoligy yet be suttle about it. Alot of benefits and Mopar has subframes of thier own also if you chose to keep it mopar.
smooth the rear bed.
mine is just like the gray one its a long box not a short box like the red one :(
i was thinking of changing the rear fenders to a 50's or 60's dodge step side box to try and match up with the cab and front clip. cause when you look at the gray one it just don't seem like the box matches the rest of the truck like it don't look good to me.. what do you think?????
smoothing out the bed and adding fuller fenders i think would help alot matching the box up to the rest of the truck.
What year Buick 350 engine do you have . And are you going to build it up .Quote:
