Wanted to find out if anyone had info on putting a sbc in an OPEL GT. The car came with 4cyl eng and manual trans. I would like to use muncie 4spd with the sbc. Anyone with info please reply. Thanks to any and all. I know this sounds crazy but it,s something i always wanted to do.
Lots of them have been done over the years.... Used to see them on the dragstrip and on the street. I built one for a guy many years ago, but he just brought the shell and I built the frame and cage for it.... No idea what the stock frame looks like, or even if they are full framed or a unibody..... What is it like? Any pics of the underneath side of one?????

The easiest would probably be to use a motor plate and use a hydraulic clutch. Never did an Opel but I dropped a sbc into a Chevy Luv. In the Luv case, Hurst made a kit but it mounted the motor too high. Used the stock chassis mounts and made a plate that would bolt to the stock chevy engine mounts, then bolted the plate to the chassis mounts. Did the same thing with the trans mount, but I used a turbo 350. Swap came out great and I didn't have to modify the firewall. Where theres a will, theres a way.

Thanks guys i don,t have the car yet but was wanting to get some opions on what it would take to do this. I have thought on this as well as a older Toyota (maybe a 70 something). I know it will take some effort to do this but was hoping to get some ideas.
