Heres a few shots of my latest rod. It started as a gas tank and cowl to a 28 roadster. I built the rest . This car was built entirely in my garage, and cost me about $5,000.
I love the site and look forward to surfing it often.

wow, what a great looking roadster !!! Congrats on a really fine looking ride. What's even better is ya did it yourself. Just proves ya don't have to be a gadzillionaire to have a really first rate rod. Very well done roadster !!!!!!!
Nice lookin' ride Jim! Well done! Welcome to the board.

That's a great looking roadster Jim. How long did it take to build? Could you post a picture of that third brake light? It looks like a 39 Chevy tailight housing with a 59 Caddy lens.
AL
Great lookin' roadster ya got there and congrats on a fine build job. Any more pics?

What's wrong with being a gazillionare, you make it sound like a bad thing
Awesome looking ride!! No way I could tell it was a low buck special. Congrats on the great work.

Al, I think I've seen a picture of this car someplace recently, something familiar about it. I think what we're seeing is the left tail light, so there'd be a right to match. If I remember the leg attaches to the side of the frame rail. Could be a '37 Ford housing too, I think they're less "pointy" than the Chev's.
Hopefully the owner will come back and show us more. Pretty cool.
Great lookin' ride ya got there. Very nicely done!!
Im pretty sure I saw that thing on ebay a few months ago! There cant be two that look like that around.
Yea it was on ebay. i just sold it last week to a guy that found me on ebay.
The tail lights are from a 37 ford, and the headlites were from a 39 chevy. on my website , www.jimsibley.com there are a bunch of pics of the build up in projects.
Check out my most recent project on there too. Its a 31 pickup that me and a friend built for $3000.00
Absolutely nothing wrong with being a gazillionaire, Diamond. Just real good to see people building their own stuff, with their own talents and abilities. Only rich people I dislike are those who flaunt their money, and think I should be impressed by it. Quality impresses me, especially someone building a quality ride like this roadster. Cookie cutter billet-laden cars don't impress me near as much as hard work and attention to detail. I guess I must be a bonafide geezer, I remember when friends got together and helped each other build their cars, not just pay the builder and the detail shop to have a show winner. Extremely sorry if I offended anyone, it was certainly not my purpose.
Here's a close-up of the right one Al.
Here ya go Bill.
