What Was Your First Big Block Car ?

we;ll, i did drive a tow truck that had a 454 :LOL:

My first big block was a 375 horse 396 68 chevelle SS396 4 speed with a 3.73 rear end. It was a ton of fun and I wish I had it back. The only bad thing about it was the color , Ash Gold. but it was the only 375 horse 4 speed the dealer had.

For me it was a 66 vet coupe 427, 4 on the floor, had ac took it out, paid 1800 for the privilege in 68 after returning from vietnam, saved my combat pay for it.

1970 Plymouth Fury III two door hardtop, red with a black vinyl top, 383 and a 727.

72 pontiac catalina convertible 421 sd tri power with hurst 4 spd

My first Big block was a 454/390 horse in a 1970 Corvette. Sorry if photo is bad ,but it's the only one I have of this car and was taken 1975 with the old polaroid instant film.

68 Camaro ss/rs 396 4spd

My first big block Chevy was a 1972 Chevelle. I bought a well worn 427 that had spun a bearing out of a dump truck from one of the local roofing contractors to replace the 307 it had. It was a worn out pile of crap but a fun car just the same. My first actual big block car was my moms 1970 Buick Lasabre with a 455. It was a rusty four door puke green heap with a crunched quarter panel but it made fools out of a few new 84-85 Camaro Berlinettas that the rich kids drove.

65' Malibu SS with a 396 and 4 speed. Blew the 96' and went with a 454. I used it for street racing in the San Fernando Valley in the 70's.

my first big block was a 1979 ford F150 camper special with a 460cid and a c6auto 9"rearend. and then a 1975 F250 camper special with a 390 4spd. and now i have a 1971 buick 455 to put into something from a 1971 buick 225 electra
