an early HEMI V8 would fit as they were introduced in Dodge/ Desotos in 1950.. You could put in a 331 Desoto Hemi in it fairly easy.. A Early Poly engine would also fit, they are not as desirable as an early HEMI so they'll be cheaper.You don't know what you've got til it's gone
