Update on my rod
Well I have finally made a decision with my hotrod, I was given a 1980 buick for free, so I am going to strip the body off, Cut down the front end of the frame to shorten it a little, Widen my body a little (car body mine is wide enough right now). And put it on that frame with the V6 engine thats in the buick for now. Figure I would get it on the road this summer and after my 3rd child is born in 9 months start saving up to build my own frame and get a little more horse power under the car.
I know to most this may not sound like a good idea, but I am getting really antsy to get behind the wheel of this car and this is a good way for now, Figure with the help of some of the inmates at work that build cattle gates all day I should have it on the road this summer. Their boss has already said they could work on it on the weekends if I wanted them too, most of these guys worked on cars, frames or similar on the outside. and are some of the best welders I have seen in a long time.
So if anyone has any ideas about the frame or ideas what to change around, I would appreciate it. The car is a Le Sabre I believe.
And thanks for all the help and ideas in the past.
And have a safe and merry Christmas and a happy New Year and hope to see everyone here next year.

Thanks Streets, I will definately take pics of this as I go, both the tearing down the buick and the building of the touring car

if the 6 banger is the grand national or the regal t ill gladly take it off your hands

Well Jeff Not sure which it is, But for now its staying with the frame until I get the 454 built for a firechicken, then that 305 is going in the touring car, And that will be next winters project.
And tech, I just think it will be more comfortable and easier to widen the body than to cram another adult in next to my 250lb body, I would really like to know how bigger people got into these cars back then, there just isn't any room.

Well Hotrod, Here it is winter and I am doing my car outside, no garage yet, just a 9'x8' shed that stores the body when I am not working on it. Next day we have without snow that I have off I will try to get some pics for you since you have missed my gallery with the pics I have of my body. :3dSMILE:
