Alright, redoing alot of stuff on my 1969 mercury monterey. It has the 390 x vin. Its a really beautifull car, but for all the power I'm putting in it I would really rather have better steering. The steering is loose as hell. I want a better, more reactive or sensitive ratio. Anyone know the parts I'd need? Any help?
That's a good front end. Rebuild it with stock parts and align it good, it'll steer great, keeping in mind that it's a bit of a luxo-barge. It ain't gonna handle like a Ferrari!
It doesnt have to handle like a ferrari. It just has to handle better than "Luxo-barge". Anyone know of a steering box out of a police interceptor that would fit or something? I just want more bang for my buck between wheel and wheel. Luxo barge no good, luxo yacht, or luxo bass boat would be alright.
