. . . and the front is waaaay too low. Thought I measured everything carefully, but the front tires are just too short.
Talk about building a sailboat in the basement. My driveway has a steep slope, and I scraped the pan on the edge of the garage slab just pulling it out. I'll never get it through the curb/gutter at the street.

2 out of 3 ain't bad. ;) Some taller front tires would still look good and could give another inch of clearance.
Hit that gutter at an angle and I bet you could crawl through it.

I've got to put some 2 X 12's over the gutter to get out of my driveway with anything low. No big deal...

I've decided I can't get the lift I need just with tires. They would be too tall.
Because of the location of the pan, I only get 0.7" extra height at the pan for each inch rise at the front axle. Right now, my pan is 2.75" off the deck. I'd like to get at least 4" at the pan. For another 1.5" lift, I'd need to lift the front axle or the frame or a combination of the two about 2.5" at the front axle centerline.
By changing the front shocks and flipping the drag link from the top to the bottom of the pitman arm, I could get 2.5" without inducing bump steer. That would give me about 4.5" under the pan without changing the look and the rake very much.
My current shocks are 11.5" eye-to-eye. A set of 14" coil-overs would likely make it work.
One thing I noticed when I blipped the throttle. With the 700R4 and the 3.73 gears, this thing is going to be scary fast.

I like it !!! :) No matter how carefully we measure, it is always a surprise when we finally drop it down and take that first ride. There must be some formula to nail it the first time, but I haven't found it.

I would say 2x12's are the way to go, it looks too good to change.

You can buy those "Remove before flight" tags from any motocross shop. They come on the muffler plug that you use when power washing your bike...

Problem semi-solved. I'm used to doing this to get my Vette up on the ramps to change the oil. Five minutes and a little scrap lumber. It would be wise to be aware of manhole covers and speed bumps, though.
Drove it around the block this morning.

Please don't take offense to this, and please think of it more as flattery; would you be so kind as to provide the manufacturer and paint code for the yellow you have on your coupe?
I really love that yellow and I have looked everywhere trying to find a chip that matches what I have in mind for mine with no luck. I'm not trying to copy you, I just think that particular yellow would look good on my flaming chicken along with a black HO stripe down the side of it.

Hey, Dutch. No problem. I posted this earlier. I used Sherwin-Williams Ultra 7000 BC/CC system with their Super Glamour Clearcoat. I think they've discontinued that clear, though.I have no problem sharing the paint code. Just don't paint a '34 Ford the same color, then drive 3,000 miles and park next to me . . . :LOL:Quote:
It's 1993-96 Corvette competition yellow (Code 53). Any automotive paint supplier can mix it for you. A word of caution. This yellow is very transparent. I laid it down over a bright white sealer to make sure the yellow would pop. If you put it over a gray sealer, it will darken it and distort the color.
Bear in mind that this is a VERY expensive paint system. Including primer, sealer, basecoat, clearcoat and various thinners, activators and hardeners, I had well over $2,000 in paint materials alone. There are probably other manufacturers with a cheaper price.
