    Transmission for Big Block Chevy

     



    Looking for opinions on the best combination for an automatic transmission for a high horsepower/high torque Big Block Chevy (600+/600+)......

    These folks at Bowtie Overdrives say they have a couple versions of the 700R4 that will withstand 600+. I have no experience with them, but their web page info looks credible.

    Probably 20% race, the balance a fast cruise. Here in SoCal, there's a bit of distance to cover from time to time.
