Lets see um...
We all have our humble starts into this hobby, most of us got into cars back in our high school days... I think it would be interesting to see photos of your first car or hot rod.. You know you were proud and took some photos, so why not share with the rest of the group!!!
Let's see what you got...

Dave, you should know better than to ask!!
I actually don't recall taking any pictures until about my 5th car, and a whole bunch of those got "lost" in a divorce 20 odd years ago. So, as much as I'd like to participate, no can do. Just envision a nice, straight, pale yellow, '51 Merc two door, black wheels, small stock hubcaps, and wide whites (porta walls of course).

First Ride...
Sounds like a cool ride Bob... Wish you had some pics to share... I guess I will have to start it off...
Here is a photo (circa 1981) of me sanding on a 1965 Buick Rivera, officially my first car and my first project car...

Did my first car when I was 16, 1974 camaro that I bought for $200, Was torn apart and ruined as the person was going to use it for a dirt track racer. I got some pictures somewhere just need to find them. Spent 8 months doing this in my parents garage, Sanding by hand, redoing the interior, removing rust from underneath, Basic restore still on the frame. Ended up replacing drivers door, all bushings in the doors, grille, fiberglass a crack in the front from the hood latch, replaced drivers quarter, all glass and after a few years the engine.

I just happen to have a pic of my 1st ride when it was all completed. I also have a pic of when i was installing the engine when i was 14 but I don't have a scanner to scan it.
Here's me next to my 2 year restoration project '67 Ranchero in 1995, young dumb and 16. It started out as a gutted shell only for a mere $250.
